KATRINA // PROJECT RESTART
shot in one day, edited in five, and with an all-female crew, KATRINA is just one in the first nine projects to be part of a new initiative developed during 72 and Sunny's creative residency called PROJECT RESTART, where previously incarcerated people are paired with young creatives to tell their stories. one narrative at a time, we hope to end the stigma returning citizens face. in Jimmy’s case, he'd just been released from prison after 18+ years this february. we met up with him in san francisco and discovered he was an incredible musician. one song he played, called Katrina, deserved a music video. KATRINA is what we made.
